Hello Reader,
Do you often feel like you have so much knowledge to share but you’re unsure how to get it out into the world?
Whether you’re trying to get more students, sell your digital products, publish books, or grow your income, you need to get your knowledge in front of people who need it.
And the good news?
You’ve got options. Lots of them.
Some teachers prefer to focus on teaching and let someone else handle the marketing. Others want to take control and promote themselves directly.
Neither is better or worse—it depends on your goals, personality, and time.
Here are two main ways you can market yourself or your work:
Option 1: Partner-Driven Marketing
(Let someone else help you promote and sell)
- Marketing Agents – Collaborate with individuals or small teams who promote your services and take a percentage or fee.
- Companies and Schools – Work with education companies, schools, or training centers that assign students to you and handle the admin, sales, and logistics.
- Marketplaces & Platforms – List your services or products on high-traffic platforms like italki, Outschool, TPT, Udemy, Amazon, and others that bring students or buyers directly to you.
- Referral Systems – Set up a simple referral process where satisfied students or parents bring others in exchange for bonuses or discounts.
- Affiliate Partnerships – Partner with bloggers, podcasters, or social media creators in your niche who can introduce your work to their audience.
These options allow you to focus more on teaching and creating, while others handle the marketing and sales. But keep in mind—you often have less control over pricing, branding, or the student relationship.
Option 2: Self-Driven Marketing
(Promote yourself directly to attract students, clients, and opportunities)
- Social Media Marketing – Share valuable content, build trust, and attract students organically on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Email Marketing – Grow and nurture your audience through newsletters, automations, and value-packed sequences.
- Conferences & Speaking Engagements – Present at industry events (online or in-person) to establish authority and connect with potential students and collaborators.
- B2B Outreach – Pitch your programs or services to schools, companies, or training providers directly for private contracts and group opportunities.
- Paid Advertising – Run targeted ads on Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, etc. to reach more students or sell digital products faster.
- Podcasting – Launch or guest on podcasts to share your story, demonstrate your expertise, and drive interest in your offers.
- Blogging & SEO – Write helpful blog content that ranks in Google searches to bring in long-term, organic traffic and build credibility.
- Webinars & Live Events – Host free/paid trainings or Q&A sessions to demonstrate your value and convert attendees into students or clients.
These methods give you more freedom and control—and often more profit too. But they do take more time, strategy, and consistency.
In the next few months, I’ll be breaking down these methods one by one.
I’ll show you:
